As with previous loan origination and mortgage banking experience, my clients at Pinnacle came from internet-based leads and sales. With the bulk of my mortgage career in this setting, I thrived. Within 2 years, I was fortunate to have a primarily referral-based business. I was in the top 15 producers out of 70 loan officers and generated $2 million in monthly volume during 6 consecutive months.I became interested in pursuing experience working in-person with clients and I jumped at the opportunity to shift away from internet-based mortgage business with Mann Mortgage. Today, I’m proud to report that I continue to serve many of my internet-based clients at Mann Mortgage.

Citi provided an opportunity to expand my financial services repertoire. In addition to providing mortgage solutions, I originated personal loans creating opportunity for clients to restructure their finances or pursue new opportunities. I also collected on debts, gaining experience with another loan process. As a branch, we were evaluated on delinquency rates. This cultivated a culture of pursuing loans that were extremely well-suited for each individual. I further refined my ability to evaluate clients’ financial challenges and needs then fit them with options that not only met their requirements but also had a high likelihood of long-term manageability. Today with Mann Mortgage, I continue to fit my clients with loan options that meet their goals but are also within their financial means.

As a mortgage banker for Nationwide, I acquired clients through online sources. Working remotely with my clients presented a challenge. I continued honing my ability to understand clients’ financial situation and needs without ever seeing them in person. Though thriving in my ability to deliver excellent options to my clients, the mortgage industry’s shifts nudged me to pursue opportunity with Citi.

I joined Bancorp after my service in the Marine Corps. Starting from the ground up, initially I answered incoming phone inquiries and prequalified potential mortgage applicants. I discovered a keen interested in the mortgage industry and a natural knack for the financial side. I was promoted to assistant loan officer and then to loan officer. At the time, the mortgage industry was highly competitive. Many of our clients came from online lending companies and shopping around was an easy process. Early in my career, this forced me to learn how to provide a level of service that made clients comfortable committing. Today, I continue to provide that same service laced with eager gratitude.
