CurrentTony spent 12 years at Motorola as Research Project Manager (named as an inventor on 20+ granted patents) and as EMEA Patent Portfolio Manager for Motorola’s communications-related technologies. Tony was heavily involved in a number of Patent License negotiations, US and European Litigation, European Patent Office Oppositions (both enforcing and defensive) and instigating and holding Advanced Inventing sessions and Product sweeps for key technology areas, across all of Motorola’s businesses. Tony's technical and patent expertise includes all aspects of wireless telecommunications, software processes and applications, circuit design, video/image/speech processing, embedded architectures, data communication systems, internet-based technologies and protocols, semi-conductor technology, cryptography, manufacturing processes, etc. Tony has written a number of patent articles and presented at International Conferences on the subject of Patent Portfolio Management. Optimus Patents Law practice involves a large amount of original patent drafting, prosecution of patent applications in various jurisdictions, and advising a wide variety of clients from Multinational Companies through to SMEs on all aspects of Patent Law, particularly focused on the development of a strategic and valuable patent portfolio for those clients.
