About Tori Dusing

Bringing organization and insights to data. I recently graduated from Miami University Magna Cum Laude as an Honors Student with a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics and a minor in Statistics.I grew up with my nose in a book, immersed in the stories captured on the pages. Throughout my years of undergrad, I learned about the storytelling aspect of data. It is a constant process of understanding one's purpose and audience and presenting one's work with integrity. I have developed considerable experience in R, Python, SQL, and Excel to use in data management and visualization through relevant coursework and project-based approaches. With these skills, I am able to uncover and display findings from data and present them in a truthful manner while also considering the audience's needs. The endless supply of data motivates me to discover creative ways to manage and utilize this information to improve understanding and operations. As a Research Assistant in the Computational Cognition Lab at my university, I work directly with data to analyze the cognitive functions behind decision-making processes. I have enjoyed this opportunity to further develop my quantitative abilities as well as learn how decisions impact data and the stories told with them.
