Under the mentorship of Dr. Milewski, I worked to compare and find aggregate means of two large datasets to better understand the relationship between the test scores of k-12 students in comparison to the Byram hills alternative school. Through propensity scores, we were able to design an observational study to better understand these groups as it relates to their covariates.

I have had the opportunity to work with the healthy air department at Southwest Detroit Environmental Vision to think of new ways we can combat these high emissions. Through the examination of data, I have been a part of a process called the fuel transformation program that seeks to switch out old trucks that give off higher emission with newer trucks that carry less environmental footprints. With this program, dozens of trucks have been replaced over the last few years and efforts are continuing to make Southwest Detroit's air healthier for the people who live there.

I worked to create visual presentations using sample data both by hand and by using statistical software. In addition, I determined probabilities for various discrete distributions (including the uniform, binomial and hypergeometric) by a formula, a table, and statistical software. I also ran tests using hypotheses regarding one, two or several population means, based on random sample(s) and the normal, t- or ANOVA distribution (as appropriate); While having the chance to teach other students these skills.

Under the supervision of President Brenda Jones, I led a group of 3 interns as we managed an excel database for the Council. I was responsible for the mass-data entry of hundreds of quantitative and qualitative reports. In addition, I created an organizational structure to track, maintain, and easily access documents, reviewing and summarizing policies.
