I have 14 years of experience working in the education and skills sectors. Over these years, I have developed interest, knowledge and extensive experience of the development sector by working in key area of education and skill fields like secondary, higher and TVET education. My educational background, which includes undergraduate and postgraduate degrees from prestigious UK universities, has provided me with a solid foundation for my career. I have experience in managing large-scale and complex international development programmes, national reform projects, strategic development and re-direction of development programmes. To do this, I liaised and negotiated with policymakers, donor agencies and government institutions, raised funds with multilateral and bilateral donors, and secured new projects. In my present role in ILO, my key responsibilities involve in managing the first component, which focuses on Improvement of Quality of the TVET / skills development system through establishing Bangladesh qualification framework, transforming vocational teacher training institutions as Centre of Excellence (CSEs) for other TVET institutions and to develop first Instructional Materials Development Centre (IMDC) for TEVT sector. In this project, I closely work with multiple governments and private organisation including ministries, directorates, foundations, federations, organization and institutions. In my last role, I was responsible to manage higher education and secondary school education projects. I developed and implemented higher education and skill strategy in the context of Bangladesh government priorities and sector needs. I also carried out role of Regional manager –South Asia, for the implementation of scholarship projects in India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Mauritius, Pakistan and Bangladesh. I managed project teams across six countries. I worked with a wide range of government and non-government stakeholders from both Bangladesh and the UK to provide expertise on the evolving policy landscape in Bangladesh and the implications for international partnerships. In my early career I worked in a group of company where my primary aims were to develop and analysis the market for our various products. In this position, I created and managed various marketing campaigns, administrative policy and I also led multiple teams for company’s brand establishment to build brand awareness and support customers.
