Tendai is a development practitioner with over 12-year experience in international development in Africa and the United States. Areas of expertise include global health, advocacy, social protection, women and economic empowerment. Tendai has wealth of experience in managing program and grants portfolios across all stages of the project cycle including grants management and reporting, providing quality assurance to existing work, building partnerships and relationships, measuring and reporting programme performance, and ensuring that grant funding provides maximum impact and reflects value for money. She has excellent organisational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills and has successfully built and led highly motivated teams to deliver innovative, collaborative, and practical solutions. She has worked with and managed grant-funded programmes by leading donors, including the Global Fund, EU, USAID, HIVOS, Oxfam, ILO, Irish Aid. Tendai holds a Master of Arts Degree in Development Studies from Midlands State University, Zimbabwe, Bachelor of Science Degree in Library and Information Science from National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe, an Executive Certificate in Programme and Project Monitoring and Evaluation from University of Zimbabwe, Certificate in Community Working with Children and Youth with REPSSI and University of Kwazulu Natal and Certificate in Digital Marketing with the Digital Marketing Institute. Currently she is studying a Post graduate Diploma in Knowledge and Information Management Systems with the University of Stellenbosch.
