The University of Washington Medical Center Kidney and Liver Transplant Department is responsible for processing referrals for kidney and liver transplants. The department, comprised of nephrologists, surgeons, nurses, program coordinators, financial counselors, and student assistants, work together to assess each patient's eligibility for a transplant. - Responsible for entering data from lab reports for kidney and liver transplant patients- Assemble and send out patient education packets- Making, filing, and closing patient charts- Assisting transplant nurses by preparing patient charts for upcoming appointments and/or selection committee- Sort mail and faxes, as well as making phone calls and checking voice messages for nurses
