Most of my work at MMU is within the Manchester Fashion Institute but includes some work within the School of Humanities, Languages and Social Sciences and the Manchester School of Art. I am here on a temporary contract to cover long term sick. Day to day duties include: -research placement opportunities to advertise to students-liaise with organisations operating within the fashion industry to discuss placement opportunities for students-advertise placement opportunities to students using Moodle, social media and email-use Excel to keep a record of students who have secured placements -distribute and chase all the relevant paperwork signed by the placement organisations and students

This was my second summer at Pearson working a ten week role over the summer break from university. During this time I was part of the marked processing team for Pearson and Edexell exam qualifications, taken both in the UK and around the world. The role involved validating the total marks given by examiners and the booking in of exam scripts and media for storage. The role involved data entry and the use of Google and Excel Spreadsheets.

This position was a temporary summer position. Since starting at Pearson I have completed many parts of the exam paper summer processing from the unmarked processing at the very beginning of the summer, to marked exam processing and post results processing. This role has required me to be conscientious, timely and has required great attention to detail as well as good communication and team work skills.

This was a fast paced role that involved selling motor and home insurance for a number of well-known brands. There were a range of KPI’s including call to sale, handling and wrap time and optional extra sales. I was trained in a number of sales techniques and the use of a mainframe computer system.
