Responsible for directing the development and operations of the information technology applications and networks used by Shurgard to manage the company and their 500+ properties. Responsible for a US staff of 28 people and a $6M annual budget; as well as a staff of 19 in Belgium and a $3M annual budget. Reported to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and accountable to the Technology Committee of the Board of Directors, as well as executive leadership teams in the US and in Europe.

Reported to COO with accountability for directing the worldwide activities of applications development, systems services (LAN, WAN, desktop support, internal help desk), development labs, and corporate services (purchasing, product control, facilities) with a staff of 75 people and a $17M budget.

Responsible for directing the activities of five departments (systems programming, data center operations, voice and data networks, corporate business recovery, and corporate information security) including a staff of 52 people and a $9M annual budget.
