Managed and lead the daily operations 19 L&D beds, 4 OB OR, 7 OB ED Triage beds. Department is a very fast pace and deals with high risk labor and high risk antepartum. 6,000 plus in deliveries for 2021. I am responsible for 145+ FTE’s, which include 12 RN supervisors over 3 areas (L&D, OB ED, and OB OR). Work to improve revenue cycle review and unit productivity/payroll. Organizing peer review process, writing and conducting staff evaluations. Identified opportunities and provided leadership on creation of an interview process which successfully supported our staffing shortage. Developing new leadership positions to support structure and growth in the department in all areas L&D, OB ED and OB OR. Planning and preparing for DNV visit during current contract. Committee member on Baby Friendly committee and preparing for Baby Friendly re-certification for 2023. Updating standard of care practices such a hemorrhage kit and putting it in place for patient safety. Implementing electronic self scheduling.
