My current role requires me to support pupils in a secondary school setting. Offering them mentoring and counselling with specific needs. These can range from behaviour, anxiety, confidence building or just time out to talk and be themselves. Each session is adapted to suit the individual and support is offered in the form of feedback and coping techniques and strategies.The sessions last 6 weeks, but can be reviewed at any time to extend should it be necessary. The intention of the program is to support the needs of young people who may be vulnerable or need that extra bit of help to understand why they feel or behave the way the are.
