• Management of 24 members of staff and 20 volunteers including recruitment, training and appraisals• Management and supervision of the daily operations of the Animal Management Department• Regularly providing stories for social media and ZSEA publications and proof-reading/editing articles submitted by animal keepers• Representing ZSEA in the media (television, radio and the press) as and when required• Producing detailed weekly operational reports for the Directors• Attending and taking minutes at the committee meetings of the Lemur Conservation Association

• Responsible for operational management of the zoo including 4 staff and 40 volunteers• Creation and updating of Trust website and social media pages• Raising the profile and public awareness of the Trust through television, radio, the press and social media • Developing and implementing a marketing strategy for the Trust to promote it as a visitor destination• Recruitment and management of staff and volunteers, ensuring that all staff and volunteers are properly trained and motivated• Producing regular newsletters for members of the Trust and articles for regional publications• Coordinating and promoting the Trust’s support for its overseas’ Field projects • Maintaining animal welfare standards to exceed legislative requirements
