My name is Tracey Wright, and I am a detail-oriented and motivated pharmacy technician and UNT student aspiring to go to PA school so I can develop and use my skills to provide the best patient care and experience possible and to help people in their journey to better health outcomes. I was trained at the Keller Center for Advanced Learning in 2017-18 as one of twenty-eight senior students selected district-wide to participate in their pharmacy technician training program. I am fully certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, and I am licensed through the Texas State Board of Pharmacy. I have almost four years of hands-on experience as a pharmacy technician at Kroger pharmacy where I built on my customer service skills, learned how to type, count, and fill prescriptions efficiently and accurately, and acquired knowledge on medications, insurance, and more so I can best serve the needs of patients. The most important thing I learned, however, is putting the patient first, so I can give patients a positive experience every time they come in, even on bad days. I believe that making someone’s day is one of the most important things I can do as a pharmacy technician today (and hopefully a PA in the future) to make an impact on the community. Furthermore, I am a person who likes getting to know the patients, remembering their names, and making a positive impact in their life, even if it is very small. I am very easy-going, and I get along well with most everyone. As a part of a health care team, I can quickly jump into the workflow and work as a team to help patients get the medications and information they need with efficiency, accuracy, and care.My name is Tracey Wright, and I believe that with my knowledge, skills, and conscientiousness that I have gained as a pharmacy technician, I can be a great asset for your team and together we can make a positive impact nationwide on the overall health of society.
