In a summary of who I am and what I have done. I have worked for CMS for seven years as a middle school Social Studies teacher, focusing mainly on 7th grade with one year of experience teaching 8th grade. I have my bachelors in History and Education; and I have my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. I have worked with all variety of students, however, my recent passion has been working with my English Language Learners. I have been not only given the opportunity to work with as an intern during the summers with the EL Support Services department, but I have also been able to be on the EL committee at my school and be on the EL team for 7th grade. I also work as a PLC lead for my team, along with having served as Department Chair and 7th grade Team Lead for two years. The past three years I have brought and served as the International Field Trip coordinator for my school, we have been to England, France, Switzerland, Germany, and Costa Rica; with the most recent trip being to England, Ireland, and Wales. I have also worked with many Professional Development opportunities by providing PD in my school at least 2-3 times a year, but also have facilitated sessions with the Humanities Department and the EL Services department.
