The Student Services Specialist II position is a multi-faceted position that requires the ability to function in a fast passed environment where the ability to multitask is required. I provide admission, registration and enrollment information to new, current, and prospective students. I collaborate with faculty, department chairs, coordinators, managers, external high school partners and others in order to provide exceptional customer service that promotes student success. I facilitate and coordinate the New Student Registration workshops, participate in recruitment events, and resolve student-centered issues as they occur. I assist with cashiering issues and special projects. In addition, I am the current Chair for our campus College Institutional Affairs Committee. Our goal is to promote successful student transition, retention and completion. As a member of Enrollment Services, this position also assists students with basic financial aid and advising questions. As a full-time specialists I am responsible for training new staff and student workers.The Student Services Specialist serves the one-stop student center by providing a premier student experience in person, by phone and Internet. This position requires excellent written and oral communication skills and full adherence to FERPA and all college policies. This position reports directly to the Associate Dean of Student Affairs.
