My professional career began at two of the top global pharmaceutical companies in the world as a professional sales representative and district manager located in the New York Metropolitan area. The market was extremely fast-paced and competitive filled with many of the largest and most progressive physicians, residents and hospitals in the country. Innovative training and unique coaching strategies were designed and implemented in order to stand apart from the competition. I led a sales team that became one of the most successful, creative and profitable award-winning districts in the country. My career path eventually took me on another journey. I decided to follow my passion for teaching, training and mentoring and enter the field of education. Throughout my career as a public school educator at both the elementary and middle school levels, I have been described as a visionary with a proven track record of achievement and excellence. I have developed a reputation for being able to inspire others to become innovators and risk takers as they challenge themselves to excel both personally and professionally. My experiences made me realize that while I have been successful in the classroom, in order to influence real change I needed to leave the classroom and seek an executive district level administrative position. I decided to once again take a journey and embark upon the next step in my career. I decided that becoming an educational leader at this point in my life would provide the perfect opportunity to blend both my corporate and educational experiences, skills sets and achievements to become a true change agent. By using my strong communication and presentation skills whether I am informally or formally presenting to students in a classroom, colleagues in a meeting or stakeholders in the community, I am able to actively engage participants and encourage them to take action. My father use to always tell me, "Traci, if you are not at the table then you will always be on the menu." I am thrilled that I am currently "sitting at the table" as the Executive Director for Human Resources for one of the largest school districts in Westchester County where I can be that change agent who can leave a legacy of inclusivity, betterment and opportunities for others.
