Note: Printers Row Publishing Group used to be owned by Baker & Taylor, but was acquired by ReaderLink in February 2015. I am the primary editor on our team for our Canterbury Classics series titles, and one of two editors for the Thunder Bay Press titles. My daily activities include: researching and developing content for our Canterbury Classics Word Cloud series and our collectible leather-bound series, typesetting our Canterbury Classics titles, editing originated Thunder Bay titles, design/layout for our puzzle book series, acquiring contracts for and managing freelancers, approving printer proofs, managing and editing third-party packaged projects, tracking budgets, proofreading, writing copy, sorting out the specs/costs for new titles, and other assigned tasks. For five years I also handled art direction for our Canterbury Classics covers, helped maintain information in our title management database, filed for and tracked copyright and CIP applications, and made sure the submissions were fulfilled and the paperwork archived after the books were printed. I've also organized archive files on our server, learned about converting books to ePub, proposed new products and titles, and written marketing copy.

Some of the freelance work I've done includes writing/editing/proofing copy for web sites, writing marketing copy, proofreading and copy editing college-level science textbooks, editing mainstream novels, writing medical extracts, project management of arts and science textbooks, and data entry.

I was originally hired by local orthopedic surgeon G. Charles Roland to help write a book after a long sabbatical from the medical industry. While he gathered research, I helped reinstate his medical credentials in six states, along with privileges at several local and out-of-state hospitals, so he could do locum tenens work and QME assessments to fund the project. I also assisted in organizing considerable amounts of paperwork, both personal and professional. I provided computer technical support, handled various administrative tasks, designed the logo and coordinated initial setup of his web site for The San Diego Knee Clinic, and coordinated the creation of a web site for rentals of his ranch property in Montana. Basically whatever he needed, I found a way to accomplish it.
