Hello! My name is Tracy Chen and I am currently in my third year at Ursula Franklin Academy. I am an executive member of my schools Student Council Administration team, as well as the founder and president of my schools only art focused club, UFA Dance & Performance Crew. I am fluent in English and Mandarin. On top of that, I am an executive in my schools feminist club, We4She. As for my extracurriculars, I volunteer at my local community centre to tutor kids, hand out posters and promote children’s programs. Additionally, I was one of seven volunteers at Light and Love community centre’s summer day camp in the summer of 2023. I work at a fast food joint, The Burger’s Priest in which I am a cashier and work on the line as well. I also work as a Teaching Assistant at TOMA Dance, a newly opened dance studio, I assist girls aged 8-17 in the jazz-funk and hip-hop genre. Lastly, I am a Dancer and Street Dance Specialist of Pop Dancers League, a non-profit organization bringing dance to communities for free. As for education, I graduated Ryerson Community School with Honour roll, Valedictorian, the Dance Award and the Perfect Attendance Award. At Ursula Franklin Academy, I won Honour roll twice and have an overall average of 90%/3.7 GPA. I am on the pathway of pursuing my career as a dance instructor. I have done dance for 11 years. My top genres are Street Dance and Jazz-funk.
