Taking some time off for personal and health reasons

Expanded global amazon sites (.com, .co.uk, .de, .fr, .jp) to add new stores and product lines. Worked with multiple teams to adapt their code to incorporate new stores. Documented and codified store launch process by creating a wiki and a tool to ensure managers conveyed required information and all updates were made in accordance with other teams' build schedules.Worked on the mobile phone site (since deprecated). Migrated functionality from the existing amazon site to a stand alone mobile phone site. Proposed and co-prototyped a widget to check upgrade eligibility which won the mobile site hack day contest.

Refactored, upgraded, and helped maintain a data analysis tool. Modularized the code so that different computation engines and different display libraries (Java, Xwindows) could be switched in and out. Added graphing and map plotting capabilities. Assisted in porting the tool to different platforms (Dec Alpha, Linux, SGI). Maintained Makefiles.Created a tool to simulate data messages coming into and out of a system for testing purposes. Participated in the generation of an interface control document (ICD) for a national system.Was on a team for operations and maintenance support of a national live data processing system. Received an award for working swing shift following 9/11 attacks.
