• Geospatial portfolio role and team lead for the Water utilities, building and maintaining of relationships, identifying and providing guidance in location based solutions to improve business practices and providing subject matter expertise.• In this role; upholding knowledge of and coordinating all geospatial activities to organize and design solutions guided and aligned to Corporate Geospatial Business and IT plans.• Geospatial project successes from beginning to end including recommending standards and best practices, and supporting information architecture solutions, methods and processes, evaluations, estimates, project planning, scheduling and deliverables with progressive responsibilities.

• A team lead Geodata Administrator with various duties, including providing business solutions, building and maintaining professional relationships, assisting clients with both system database design and database management, capacity planning, and overall technology planning providing advice on data analysis or any other spatial issues as well as development of processes and business documentation to support the Enterprise GIS environment.• Actively participating in lead team meetings biweekly and monthly to discuss synergies and critical leadership scenarios.• A participating member in meetings with external vendors ESRI and Safe for planning capacity, architecture and future direction of the enterprise GIS Environment at the City of Calgary.

• Assess and evaluate current and emerging GIS technologies, determine corporate opportunities and impacts, and develop and recommend standards and best practices to IT management and corporate GIS clients; • Define and develop client-oriented corporate GIS data and/or technology solutions; • Design and develop methods and processes for the distribution and implementation of GIS technology and data, and inform and instruct the Corporation on its availability and use; • Define requirements and design geographic data extract, transform, and load (ETL) best practices, standards and procedures in the development, implementation and support of corporate information architecture(s); • Create, manage and maintain the corporate metadata repository for GIS data resources, geoprocessing models and geodatabase schema designs and data models, for access and use by all clients; • Troubleshoot and investigate GIS technology and data issues; gather information, problem analysis and interpretation, solution development and implementation; authorization of client access to GIS software and/or databases;• GIS Support to clients including Integration of Geodatabase (ArcSDE) and Oracle database administration, SQL programming and ETL processes. • Upgrade and rewrite of the City of Calgary metadata to ISO19115 standard and catalogue compliant in ArcGIS 10x.• Researched and communicated ArcGIS system architecture to support business, application, information and technical needs of corporate clients.• As a GIS Data Coordinator and GIS Specialist Involvement in many City of Calgary GIS Projects: Published GDB, ArcGIS 10/10.2/10.5 Upgrade projects. • SDE Administrator accountable for the schedule and the processing of all updates within the SDE environment. • Technical support of SRD staff in the SW region of Alberta including forests (timber and fire) and land (public lands and range) in GIS applications, data maintenance, spatial analysis, reporting, programming and mapping.

• GIS Software development, created a custom mapping product for ArcMap 9.1 using Visual basics application (VBA). Design/implementation of a custom roads editing environment with linear referencing for ArcMap 9.1 using case tools (UML), geodatabase, SQLPlus and VBA.• Technical training/Support of woodlands staff in GIS applications and data structure, Cartography to support GIS needs and supervision of GIS data entry support staff. • Designed & Maintained ArcSDE GDB, SQL/Plus reporting and database administration in Oracle 9i/TOAD.• VBA, modeling, analysis, AML programming for GIS, report writing to fulfill government requirements.
