Helping senior people live their best lives possible.This full time job was multi-faceted. Leading a small team of passionate, professional assistants, I managed the Day Centre for local senior people who visited for various reasons including personal care, to socialise and respite for their loved ones. No two days were every the same and as a strong team we provided a fantastic, safe, caring, fun environment for our very special guests. As well as managing the Day Centre, I was also a Finance Assistant supporting supplier invoices and payments, sundry accounts for the 100 or so residents, petty cash and providing residents' with the opportunity to purchase sundry items. The final component to my role was managing the on site Coffee Shop. Following a suggested I made, we introduced a relaxed Coffee Shop outside of the three residential homes where families could bring their loved ones for a drink and cake away from their usual environment - it felt like going out but still within near enough if support was required. We also welcomed staff and the public to come and use the facilty.
