Tracy Self has extensive Government, Trade Association and Private Sector experience, and is well-versed in campaign development & execution, stakeholder outreach, coalition building, advertising, government relations and public affairs.She cut her teeth on a high-profile County Commissioner Race (Harris County Pct. 4 (Houston)) as Volunteer Coordinator and has served elected and appointed officials at the federal, state and local levels. She has represented Agriculture, DOD, Education, Energy, Food and Beverage, IT, Nutrition, Pharmaceuticals, Renewables, Start-Ups, Sports and Wellness clients, Veteran Support, and non-profit organizations. Tracy was Director of Partner Relations at The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). Previously, she was Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, Policy & Strategy, at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where she led staff, budgets and campaigns across all OpDivs. While at HHS, she was instrumental in The Heart Truth Campaign, Ad Council’s Small Steps (anti obesity) Campaign, and CDCs VERB Campaign, and rebranding the agency formerly known as HCFA to CMS.Additionally Tracy led Medicare Part D implementation and outreach in 43 US markets on behalf of AstraZeneca and The National Council on the Aging’s (NCOA) My Medicare Matters Campaign. Tracy is passionate about helping others and is currently working with Heroes Gone Wild (HGW) in a volunteer capacity as Chief PIO.HGW is a recreational therapy program led by combat Vets to help other Vets in need. HGW is formerly associated with Operation Supply Drop (OSD) and is headquartered in Seguin, TX. She lives in Spicewood, TX and enjoys spending time with friends and family in the best city in the world, Austin. .
