I am 20 plus year public school teacher with a majority of experience as an intervention specialist. I currently co-lead a blended learning program within the Marion Harding High School. In addition to co-leading the blended learning program, I have established a blended learning committee in an effort to further develop and advance the blended learning program in meeting the challenges of developing rigor and content which reflect the needs of the students beyond the walls of the Marion Harding High Scool. I recently completed a Master's Degree in Leadership and Education Administration with a school administrator's license K-12. Through my studies have learned to not only take a deeper look at content delivery, and student assessments scores, I have been able to explore the influences of the community on education and how to meet the needs of the community through content and teaching practices.I also recognize that education is more than content and test scores, it is also about teaching young people how to manage responsibilities and adversity as well as teaching students that is OK to be competitive in the world outside of education. For those reasons, I coach athletics and I still continue to compete as an adult. I have spent 28 years coaching young people and adults in athletics with the idea of having the individuals find inspiration through me and finding inspiration for myself through the athletes.
