I teach introductory courses in general chemistry, environmental chemistry, and chemistry for allied health majors. I develop laboratory experiments and case studies for undergraduate chemistry courses that merge my interests in environmental chemistry and environmental justice with chemical education. I am experienced in the operation, maintenance, sample preparation, data collection, and data analysis of various analytical instruments including IR, FTIR, ATR FTIR, GC, GCMS, XRF, NMR, EPR, DSC, TGA, ICPOES. I am experienced in using Schlenk lines and glove boxes for the synthesis of air sensitive inorganic, organic, and organophosphate compounds.

Laboratory research and development on a variety of projects that included organic synthesis of photosensitive small molecules, surface modification of gold nanoparticles, organophosphate synthesis and reactivity characterization, and polymer synthesis. Analysis of chemicals via H-NMR and P-NMR, FTR-IR, GCMS, TGA, DSC, and CV.
