This new role provides leadership in post award project support and I will be building a team that will focus on managing the provision of that support to complex projects funded by major UK, EU and international bodies.• To manage the provision of post award project management support for complex funded projects by understanding the entirety of the research project management portfolio and leading on forward planning and management of the portfolio.• Supporting the Director of R&I and Head of Research Services in setting the strategic direction of the team and acting as the first point of contact and authority for matters relating to research project management provision. • Acting as the point of authority on all research project management administrative, regulatory and policy matters in relation to the post award management of funded research projects and providing expert advice as required.• Working with the Director of R&I and Head of Research Services to play a leading role in implementing relevant key objectives arising from College strategic plans including contributing to major projects; Project Board representation and participating in workshops.• Line-managing and providing leadership to the Research Project Management Team.• Responsibility for the recruitment, selection, induction, and probationary review of the Research Project Management Team.• Manage the timely compilation of information and documentation from the funders, project partners and affiliated entities, including complex technical, financial and administrative information.• Maintain project plans, including tracking deliverables, milestones and progress against work packages and Gantt Charts, ensuring conformity with expected deliverables and milestones.
