Initially we met when she was an Industrial Trainee taking a year out from her degree course to learn about business and IT. During this time she acted as my Communications Manager setting up meetings, running Customer days and events, setting up and running a website etc.. I was so impressed by her attitude and approach not only to the work but also to the management team and the wider dept. organisation that when approached by IBM HR, after she had finished her degree, for a reference, I had no hesitation in saying she would be an asset to IBM. She was placed in another Division but our paths crossed from time to time in some accounts and bid situations and we kept in touch. I knew from her management that she was very well thought of in her role in bid management and they were very reluctant to loose her when she decided to move into Project Management. In 2006 we worked together again on the contract for the largest IBM network outsource in EMEA for a UK bank. Tracey joined the Project Team as a PM but when the opportunity came to take on the role of Project Office Manager she did not think twice – well may be for an instant ! She represented IBM at weekly meeting with the client and reported up the PM line to the Programme Director. Direct personal feedback from the client was that they were impressed with Tracy’s performance, knowledge and persona. The IBM management team the same. In my 37 years in IBM and 31 years in management, up to 3rd line level, I have seldom come across anyone as competent and committed as Tracy. She is reliable and hard working, an excellent communicator and forthright when needed. I would welcome the opportunity of working with her again and will gladly act as a reference if asked." and "Tracy was part of my Transformation team delivering a complex solution to a major UK Financial organisation. During her time within the team, I witnessed a very dedicated professional develop both her project management skills and her inter-personal skills.
