Coordinated familial recruitment initiative on Canada-US collaboration between cardiology groups and traveled to US for recruitment and sample collection of a large family. Was responsible for managing all planning, essential documentation, and customs requirements for shipping. Delegated the responsibility for external advertising. Responsible for recruitment both locally and nationwide where needed with a focus on post-mortem tissue samples

Worked closely with the cardiac transplant program to develop and implement a successful approach for the identification and recruitment of study participants on the transplant waiting list. We revamped and streamlined tissue collection protocols for transplants. Traveled within Ontario for recruitment and sample collection. Coordinated consent cardiac tissue collection on select surgical patients, 95% recruitment rate.
