I originated my position at this growing start-up. I implemented new accounting software and established financial controls and accounting procedures for maintaining asset records, recording expenses, issuing invoices and processing payroll. This created efficiency and increased accuracy in the bookkeeping and enabled me to provide and analyze management level financial reports. I researched employer labor requirements and established procedures and record keeping for new employees. When the company desired new project management software, I coordinated the conversion and set-up the parameters for the new system. Implementing the software enabled me to manage the pipeline and schedule our creative team for locations as well as be a resource for managing the client database and sales portfolio.

I worked on an Open Solutions loan processing platform based in SQL. I was responsible for mapping fields from the database into vendor stock forms and creating custom forms at the request of end users. Using basic logic functions and my knowledge of loan calculations and documentation, I wrote formulas into various fields for use with multiple loan products with differing requirements. Clients and coworkers turned to me as a resource on compliance requirements. I discovered a loan calculation error and worked with the programmers to see it corrected to avoid the company having liability to end users. The programmers often asked me to test new and updated features in the software.

I started at Tolland Bank as a Loan Reviewer, performing portfolio credit analyses. I served on a credit risk management committee where I was very involved in re-writing the bank's credit policy and procedures. My first promotion was to Loan Servicing Officer where I was responsible for a department of 5 charged with proper loan accounting of payments and distributions, ledger and systems reconciliations and year end reporting. I was eventually promoted to Vice President of Mortgage Operations, responsible for the underwriting, documentation and closing of mortgage and consumer loans, My responsibilities included managing the pipeline, relationships with secondary market investors, all lending compliance functions, reconciling general ledger accounts, loan pricing and training staff in policy, procedures and compliance. I was significantly involved in the bank's technology throughout my tenure at the bank - I prepared a disaster operations plan as part of Y2K readiness, participated in a loan accounting systems conversion and implemented new loan underwriting software. I wrote procedures for all of these functions.
