As a student at Metropolitan State University Sean studied a broad spectrum of the health and fitness world ranging such scientific aspects as human anatomy and physiology to mind-body practices like Yoga and Tai Chi. Never the one to be satisfied with only a partial understanding Sean has pushed himself to learn not only the how, but also the why. He has experience in athletic medical care and rehabilitation as well as personal training and group exercise. He has performed these services in high schools, colleges as well as private facilities. He spent over a year working directly with NCAA athletes and another year working with special needs clients. With his sights set on three bachelor’s degrees in Exercise Science, Sports Medicine and Nutrition, Sean is the definition of well-rounded in the fitness world.As an athlete Sean prefers to compete in only the most extreme of events, running such challenges as the Tough Mudder to benefit The Wounded Warriors Project. Sean rarely participates in an event that is not held for charity, and tends to jump at any opportunity to take part in a good cause as Sean has a deep and personal understanding of what it is to be seriously injured and in need of help. In May of 2012 he was involved in a high speed roll-over car accident which left him with broken bones and a severe brain injury. Having to relearn how to walk and to move properly as well as regain his vision, fine motor skills and thus his independence. It was the most humbling experience of his life and only increased his passion for working with those in need.
