Trang Nguyen earned an engineering degree in Biomedical Engineering from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), Vietnam, in 2013; received Master and Ph.D. degree both in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Kookmin University (KMU), South Korea, in 2015 and 2018 respectively.My research interests include Optical Wireless Communications (OWC), Optical Networks, Wireless Systems, Optical Camera Communications (OCC) and Augmented-Reality services via light. I have designed and implemented a variant of OWC/OCC systems. Mainly from 2013 to 2018, I have a dominant contribution to 6 international patents/applications + 37 other Korea patents/applications while being an implementation lead of over 10 registered software Apps; some of these works have been published as several highly-cited journal papers. I worked as a researcher at the LED Convergence Research Center at KMU and maintained voting right in IEEE 802.15 Standard Association until the end of 2018. Currently, I am with LiFi Research and Development Center.

Active Contributor Of Ieee 802.15.7MSelf Employed 2015 - Dec 2018Physical layers are newly added to the standard in the IEEE 802.15.7m Task Group (TG) to support Optical Camera Communication.
