I am currently employed as a Lieutenant with the Arizona Department of Gaming. I have been assigned to the Intelligence Unit, Employee Certification Unit, and currently supervise the Investigations & Inspections Unit. I have worked closely with various Tribal Gaming Offices and other law enforcement agencies.Prior to my career with the Arizona Department of Gaming I retired from the Phoenix Police Department. My assignments included street drug enforcement, clandestine lab investigations, drug interdiction, canine handler, and bomb squad. As part of my duties as a drug enforcement detective I have conducted drug, money laundering, and prescription drug investigations.Prior to my career with the Phoenix Police Department, I was a Sergeant with the Arizona Army National Guard and worked as a Military Police Officer and Forward Observer. During my service I deployed to Iraq and was awarded the Purple Heart and Combat Action Ribbon.This unique combination of experience makes me an ideal candidate for various police and regulatory positions. I have significant experience conducting investigations and working closely with members of various Tribal, State, Local, and Federal agencies, as well as civilian organizations. I have successfully conducted interdiction and hazardous materials related investigations and worked undercover and in other high stress, dangerous situations.
