Short Answer: Senior at BYU-Idaho who wants to discover more about the world of marketing. Cracking the code and figuring out what marketing campaigns are most profitable and WHY is so satisfying and motivational. On the side, I love to hike and take photos of what the world has to offer.Long Answer: Since I was a kid, I loved the concept of business and trying to understand what people want. One day when I was in middle school, I was outside and realized we had a ton of firewood we would never use. With my parents help, I created a prototype of a bundle of wood and took it to some of the local stores. Knowing I would need to stand out I also made some homemade fire starters that came with each bundle. After some rejection, I approached a local hardware store that was interested. I sold them 20 bundles as a test and the customers loved it. Throughout this I was tracking my sales on an old laptop I got at a garage sale for $1 that used a floppy disk for storage. Other than having Excel, the laptop was useless. As I got older ideas changed and I started discovering social media and how influential it can be. As a side project, I started uploading photos and trying to get a large following. Once I hit 10,000 Instagram followers I stopped trying as hard and the page suffered but I accomplished what I had set out to do. During that time, I was able to partner up with some outdoor companies as an influencer and negotiate deals that would benefit both parties. Now as I am coming to an end of my schooling adventure, I am looking for the next challenge that will benefit the company and myself.
