Travis is responsible for designing and managing various marketing, affiliate relationships, and digital/social media activities throughout the East and Southern Africa region, in close collaboration with the Regional Marketing Office Director and Country Representatives. He is responsible for helping to design, price, manage, and report on various USAGM (United States Agency for Global Media)/VOA (Voice of America) promotional/marketing campaigns and activities; maintaining close contact with potential and active broadcast and mobile/social media affiliates on a range of issues; manage the region’s customer relations management system-Salesforce; assist USAGM headquarters design, engage and evaluate VOA’s various content and social media developments.

I join Howler as they rebranded from a licensed software brand Nu-tickets South Africa to Howler a FinTech start-up focussing on solving big scale eventing problems with innovative proprietary and 3rd party software all running through the Howler ecosystem.Working primarily in a sales and marketing role I also work across departments using my historical career knowledge to implement effective workflow strategies throughout the business. With the head office in Johannesburg, I spearheaded the setup and running of the Cape Town satellite office, and procured accounts like Cape Town Jazz Festival, Bazique Festival, Robertson wine valley and Breedekloof wine valley.As well as managing local accounts I pioneered new business development through Africa and set up a reseller partnership in Namibia as well as managing the delivery of a variety of events in Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Botswana and Uganda.Due to the covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions on live events, I saw the opportunity for streaming as a new revenue stream and headed up the planning and building of an online stream platform product to service a new client base. This included strategic product planning and management, market research, marketing plan and finding the correct market fit.As the business looks to launch its suite of online products to a global audience I'm part of the global partner growth team putting together a launch strategy for various international markets.

While traveling through Africa I joined an NGO called Love 2 Africa (www.love2africa.org) that is pioneering the establishment of a non-profit volunteer tourism and social investment network across Africa.
