My first job was as a Host, and Delivery Driver combo. The job taught me that patience is necessary when at work. The amount of tasks that needed to be completed at one time was a bit daunting, but after some time at the job I got a hang of it. It also taught me the need to focus pay attention to who I work with, and what they are doing in regards to what I needed to do. My next two jobs taught me the ability to multi-task. I was working as Waitstaff, and was in charge of taking care of the guests of the restaurant by placing orders, running food and drinks, and resolving any issues that may have come up. This caused me to learn very quickly, that there is was a way to complete more than one task at a time. I would have to constantly refill beverages and bring food to a table at the same time. These jobs changed my perspective on how I can accurately complete the task at hand. My next jobwhich was the most enjoyable job that I have personally had in my life, was as a Car Salesman. Most people generally associate Car Salesmen as something similar to "Blood-Thirsty Arm Benders" or something of that nature. When I did that job, I took it upon myself to make people feel welcome and comfortable. I would show my clients the facility that the dealership offered, introduce them to the Service representatives, and get to know them. In addition, I would find out what was the most important thing that they were interested in for a new or newer vehicle before showing them any of vehicles that we had in inventory, that way that i had a better idea of what I could show the customer. This caused me to learn that knowledge of what I was selling was a necessity, and that not having knowledge of the inventory would be like not knowing what was in a meal that I was serving someone, or not knowing what a certain program would do if you tried to use it. I am now working for Waste Management as a Dispatcher. I use logistics and Customer Service to complete the tasks that I am assigned.
