My career is centered around understanding business problems and finding solutions to improve efficiency. Helping businesses understand data-driven issues, design strategies, and implement practical solutions for those strategies has been the highlight of the last several years of my career. My goal now is to continue my role as a leader and inspire success for my team and my organization. Here recently, my career and my passion have landed me in Healthcare IT. Specifically, Data warehousing for multiple hospitals to help further their abilities to provide care to patients. Seeing the success of these hospital systems has given me more inspiration than can be said with a few quick words, but it brings me happiness when we are successful. In this light, my skillset has been broadened to suit the needs of whatever challenge has been presented to me. First, I began my career maintaining tables, stored procedures, views, and other fundamental elements essential to data warehousing. Next, I focused my efforts on a wide berth of BI tools that various reporting and analytical teams were using. Finally, I started to develop and implement data strategies to tackle new problems and adapt to new technologies like the Azure Platform. Before my Healthcare IT career, I was a jack of all trades maintaining and administering lots of systems and services. These included things like Windows SBS (Active Directory, Exchange, Backup Exec ect...), Windows Server 2012, Barracuda Firewalls, Symantec / PGP, SQL Server 2008 & 2012, SharePoint 2010 & 2013 and CRM On-Premise 2011, MicroSale POS Systems, Samanage IT Help desk solution, equipment licensing and tracking... and many others. My hope is to continue doing what I love to do with data. The new era is upon us, and there are many exciting new developments and tools to use every day!
