Responsible for keeping our customer in the loop throughout the process of machining, plating and all other processes the product may go through before the part is shipped. Maintaining and correlating all specifications per the print to all those involved in making the consumers part. Responsible for making cert packages and verifying raw material as it enters the plant. Verifying material can be just checking the specifications to the print as well as checking grain direction. Accountable for Frozen Planning which includes verifying all print notes and specifications prior to the job being ran and making sure that they will be meet throughout our process. Then compiling all the associated paperwork (certs) associated with the job, then I communicate with the customer our plan.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the organization and manufacture of raw stock to finished a product. I assist in the line start-ups and line clearances to ensure that the next job will be ready to be ran as soon as the other finishes. I also scheduled employees based on the job priority and skill level of the employees. This is essential for jobs that have to be run at higher cycle times and complexity of the design of the product. Calculated machine cycle times to have an idea on when a job will finish so the next job on that line is ready to be ran. I record the amount of scrap produced at each production line to catch any mistakes that may have occurred as well as knowledge of what may could be changed in the future if the same product is ran again.

Currently finishing my Engineering Degree with concentrations in Mechanical and Industrial/Systems Engineering. Having a dual concentration will help me correlate the design and making of products to the production planning and layout of a facility to have the most efficient facility as possible. Participated in several projects throughout my schooling which aided in my ability to work as a team member, leadership roles, programming skills, as well as enhancing my written and oral communication skills. East Carolina's Engineering program was a excellent learning environment, with it being a recently ABET accredited program the class size remained small which made verbal contact with professor's much more beneficial.

Examined parts currently being run off the production line, as well as color verification on any new coming material to the plant. Had the opportunity to see how software such as Solidworks is used in a real life environment. Overall was a great learning experience to see how much effort and commitment goes into getting a finished product to a customer.
