In order to further my career and gain additional leadership skills, in 2012 I returned to patrol from detectives, and was promoted to sergeant, leading up to 12 deputies. Although I was often asked to consult on financial crimes investigations, I kept my skills sharp and my knowledge current by attending the annual ACFCS conferences in 2015 and 2017.My law enforcement leadership style was very proactive. I took two different squads from under-performing to top-producing. I believe in being very visible and engaged as a leader so that I can be a trainer, mentor and role model of how to effectively interact with the public, investigate crimes and respond to emergencies. One of my key roles was that of public and community relationship building. The community is our customer and by maintaining open lines of communication, we were able to ensure their needs were met.I will be available for my new career 9/2018. Show less

As an officer, I was out in the community every day, patrolling a designated area to prevent, discover and deter criminal activity while enforcing traffic regulations and state and federal laws.
