Johnson County Transit. Responsible for all fields of IT technical maintenance and support, including; GIS, web site development (www.thejo.com), project management, desktop, server and application support, report creation, transit planning and on-vehicle systems. Transit has several specialized applications and hardware for scheduling, routing, fare collection, cameras, fueling and communications systems. Actively involved with vendors, coordinating new applications, updates and training staff. GIS work included map creation for public meetings, schedules, system map and data requests. Very dynamic and multi-disciplined work environment.

Olathe, Ks

County Clerk and Records & Tax Administration department. GIS Team Leader for a four person GIS editing group, responsible for maintaining the county’s parcel maps. Duties included managing work loads, quality control and creating new geospatial datasets. New datasets were used for QC on the tax roll and for public research into land records. Designed and developed office applications, including a work-flow management and archiving application. Led a migration team to upgrade ArcGIS from coverage-based data to enterprise geodatabase, resulting in numerous efficiencies and the ability to reduce work staff by 1 FTE. Also responsible for: ad hoc data requests, customer inquiries, desktop computer support and department web site.

Intern for the Public Works Dept. Internship with the county stormwater and mapping departments. Responsibilities include GPS/GIS mapping, asset management, plat review, desktop support and surveying assistance.
