NASA Watts on the Moon Centennial Challenge (Providing power to water extraction plant in PSR 3km from power plant). Designed PCM-based Thermal Management system of tethered lunar power transmission solution with Li-ion energy storage.

Design and validation of heated percussive cone penetrometer for locating and characterizing volatiles in lunar PSRs. Used ANSYS Transient Thermal to validate sensitivity of cone designs. Testing to determine compaction and temperature-dependent thermal properties of lunar regolith simulant. MATLAB optimization for data validation and curve fitting.

Analyzed thermal interactions of lunar tethered rover to transfer power and data into difficult to reach locations on the moon. Used NX Space systems thermal and MATLAB to determine feasibility of passively cooled superconductors within the PSR.
