As an event coordinator for Purdue Memorial Union Dining and Catering, my main job is directing and instructing student employees before, during and after events to ensure a successful event and fulfill all customer requests. Using my leadership skill set, I set a positive example for success for the students as well as provide a point of reference for them during events. Another of my main responsibilities is to correspond with and pursue current and future clients for Dining and Catering, in order to satisfy their requests with each new event.

Purdue University Wiley Dining Court

During my year at Purdue's Wiley Dining Court as a level five food service worker, I was tasked with preparing large volumes of food each day for students, University guests and administrative workers as well as facilitating one station at the dining court where I delegated student responsibilities within that station. I also gained experience balancing and verifying the cash register where students swipe in to eat and I oversaw the students in their end-of-shift cleaning daily.

Purdue University Earhart Dining Court

As a student supervisor at Earhart Dining Court, I organized students among the seven respective dining court stations to ensure that stations remained operating and functioning correctly and specified student employee jobs within those stations, such as assisting the full-time cooks and the maintenance upkeep. I also worked to clarify the dining court menu for students with food allergies and dietary needs as well as assistant led student employee orientations and evaluations.
