I graduated from the University of Maine at Farmington in spring of 2016 with a Bachelor's Degree in English. Due to the nature of my degree I am well versed in the skills of reception, filing, management, typing, maintenance of schedules and calendar management. I also acquired above-average skills in research, writing, and have developed a quick analytical mind and an acute attention to detail that makes me an out-of-the-box problem solver.I first worked as the store opener at one of the busiest McDonald’s restaurants in the state where my responsibilities include the preparation and servicing of the kitchen equipment. This experience has given me the skill set to perform in a high-pressure and fast paced environment. It has also given me significant customer service experience, developing a strong ability to work with a high-volume of customers, answering customer questions and resolving a variety of issues and customer complaints.I then worked as a Department Lead at Books-A-Million in South Portland - the largest store in the BAM chain. Here I increased my skills in sales, management of marketing and promotions, customer service, visual merchandising and inventory management. During my time at BAM I oversaw the “Key6” department, the most profitable department in the store. Currently I am working as a manager for a local business called Game Zone, where in addition to overseeing day-to-day operations my responsibilities include the hiring process for new employees, managing the employee schedule, and managing inventory including new orders and markdowns.
