Used the VAN voter database system to inspire and organize grass roots political action in the Idaho Statehouse. Conducted a letter writing campaign to the editors of 6 major Idaho newspapers and websites to protect public lands. Received issue based/candidate campaign training, and leadership development. Managed dozens of volunteers, and coordinated voter outreach across the state. Provided research and analysis of legislation from draft, to adoption in the Idaho Statehouse.

I was able to interview local leaders and state legislators about important issues while covering diverse areas like forestry, transportation, education, and healthcare.
