Engineering Manager
Current• Manage a team of Engineers, Technicians, and Analyst. • Manage, coordinate, and ensure utility compliance with applicable NERC/WECC standards.• Coordinate with engineering consultants and other District engineers for transmission, distribution and communication system analyses and improvements. • Develop the capital and maintenance plan, prioritize and incorporate into the annual engineering budget.• Develop materials specifications and coordinate procurement with purchasing department.• Perform engineering analysis, including but not limited to system protection and coordination, substation, load allocations, system optimization, fault study, communication, and automation.• Consult with customers regarding service policies and requirements, and recommend courses of action, procedures, and costs of electric service• Provide mentoring, support, training and guidance for direct reports while maintaining a cohesive team that works well together with other departments.• Provide general support to the Operations Department including review of switching procedures and storm response.
