Some of my areas of responsibility included: coordinating with the event Production Manager, information gathering and dissemination, advising on and resolving technical issues, staff scheduling, directing a team, logistics, and connecting with customers to ensure they were having a great experience. As a FOH engineer and Systems Technician, I am experienced in deploying large scale line array audio systems in 15,000 seat arenas for 180 degrees of coverage. Deployment includes but is not limited to; creating a 3D model of the venue, coordinating motor points with the rigging department, ensuring system is in the correct physical configuration, adding point source fills where needed, verifying all signal lines, calibrating the system with SMAART software, and operating the sound board. In the role of Monitor Engineer one of my biggest projects was a monitoring system for Mac Miller. CurrentThe Weinberg Center for the Arts is a historic 1500 capacity theater in downtown Frederick, Maryland. The Weinberg host guests both from the international and local communities, with performances ranging from national musical tours to plays to dance recitals. Assistant Production Manager And Audio Department Head - The Anthem
At 6000 capacity, The Anthem is the largest of the IMP event venues in Washington DC, followed by The Lincoln Theater and The 930 Club. While my official employment at The Anthem began in March of 2018, I have been freelancing for IMP since 2002. While at The Anthem, I worked with company staff, equipment vendors and guests from around the globe, to create unique and memorable events. A major part of my role was directing team members, ensuring effective communication between all parties and managing assets according to a timeline. When needed, I would fill any role that would advance event production. Additionally, I was responsible for a d&b J Series system that used Array Processing.I also enjoyed sharing my experience with junior staff members and watching them grow in their roles. In order to help other members succeed, I created and taught various technical courses. I would identify areas that needed guidance and work with staff individually help them improve. I also took action to enhance technical aspects of the venue. While it took over a year to accomplish, redesigning the existing audio system was one of my greatest achievements. It gave me great satisfaction when visiting technicians would complement the changes and also that customer feedback increased in a positive manner. Afterwards I started designing a Dante infrastructure that would add multiple patch points throughout the venue. My goal with these new designs was to advance the company objective of being the best venue in Washington, DC.
