As staff liaison to the York County Forever Commission, I prepare documentation for funding approval of land conservation projects to protect natural, historic and cultural resources within the rapidly developing Charlotte (NC) metropolitan area. I assist with long-range planning projects, such as the Resilience and Natural Resources elements of the York County Comprehensive Plan. I manage the tree canopy direct assistance grant, and provide tree preservation advice to my colleagues as needed.
