I provided technical and engineering support to all 28 biorefineries in the POET fleet. I participated in numerous meetings with multiple departments from within POET. I spearheaded a special project to optimize the dosing of a product additive that net $32K in savings in July 2019, following the implementation of the project. I worked with vendors to address malfunctioning equipment and quote equipment for new projects. I worked with our biorefineries to communicate the malfunctioning equipment and assisted them in troubleshooting various process issues. I developed and delivered several system improvement forms regarding process upgrades and optimizations for fleet consideration. I also assisted in on-site troubleshooting and trialing of a new DDGS pellet mill that had been installed at one of our biorefineries.

I provided engineering and technical support to all departments within the biorefinery I was working at. I attended multiple meetings that involved every department in the biorefinery, as well as team members from other company biorefineries, the corporate office, and on-site contractors. I assisted in the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of a new steam turbine unit that was installed at our biorefinery. I proposed an approved path forward to resolve a syrup system that was being pumped improperly. I justified, on a financial and process basis, the addition of a new overhead condenser unit. I indexed bulk historical alarm data to be used for an alarm efficiency update to our Emerson DeltaV DCS. I also generated and presented a system improvement form for a new process modification at our biorefinery, for fleet consideration.

I provided real-time testing and analysis of biorefinery processes and products. I collected samples from within the plant, assisted in the certification of our final products, and performed troubleshooting on lab equipment. I wrote and trained operations shift managers on a new standard operating procedure for a piece of lab equipment. I planned and carried out a bench-scale experiment to test a process theory and recommendation from the corporate office. I also inventoried our current sampling equipment and renewed it as needed.

I performed fast food restaurant duties, specifically working the cash register and in the drive-through. I worked 40 hours a week when school was out and most weeknights while school was in session.

I and my younger brother liquidated $9K worth of historical automotive parts over the summer of 2016. I personally handled part research, part eBay listings, final sales, shipping, and customer service.

I performed masonry and carpentry work for a licensed building contractor. I poured and finished multiple concrete driveways and pads. I assisted in constructing a residential house and two large pole-barns for farming purposes. I worked 40 hours a week during the summer.
