Key responsibilities; Assist the Head of Safety, Environment & Security with all aspects of safety & environment, ensuring that company standards and procedures are in line with current legislation. Investigate accidents / incidents and prepare reports as necessary. Analyse results to establish any trends and suggest remedies as necessary. To assist with and carryout assessments of all risk and to produce appropriate records. Assist in the preparation and revision of the sites safety procedures and policy. Conduct regular safety inspections to correct unsafe behaviours and promote best practise, safety culture. To be available on an ‘on call’ basis to respond to accidents, conducting drugs and alcohol testing in accordance with Company D&A policy. To coordinate all aspects of Fire safety. To attend safety meetings and produce accurate minutes of the proceedings and to carryout appropriate safety training as required. Holiday cover for Labour Manager: to have an understanding of operational skill requirements, labour agreements, rosters and work patterns operational training requirements – 300 personnel, promulgate disciplinary procedures; maintain budgetary control for PPE and radio systems.
