Leighton Asia India and Offshore is one of the world’s major contracting, services and project development organisations and the world’s largest contract miner. They have 84 sites situated throughout the Asia region.I worked as an infrastructure architect and technical team leader for an international migration and IT consolidation project of the various business units.My responsibilities included the creation of standardised migration frameworks for the migration and consolidation of the disparate domain structures onto a centralised platform. This included the consideration of the various email platforms, directory systems, applications and file repositories. Responsibilities also included the development of high level designs and to provide technical strategic direction throughout the project, ensuring a successful delivery.The project involved me working with VMware, Microsoft, HP, Dell and EMC technologies and an extensive amount of travel throughout Asia.

I worked as a solution designer on platform projects including the design and implementation of a highly available cloud platform from the ground up with new greenfield datacentres deployed in Hong Kong, Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne.I engaged with vendors and the business to identify technical requirements and worked to develop technical solutions for the platform.I also worked to develop standardised customer on boarding solutions for the platform and assisted with the development of product definitions and service offerings for physical and virtual server infrastructure space.

Infoplex as a business is a cloud service provider who is part of the Leighton group.I worked as a senior member of a level 3 infrastructure team who were responsible for the infrastructure implementation and management of internal and customer environments. I was predominantly responsible for datacentre operations and implementation involving power management, PUE improvement and standardization across the Infoplex datacentres as well as a 3rd level escalation point for Microsoft, VMware and server hardware technologies.Within this roll I worked with technologies including Microsoft Server, VMware vSphere, Dell server hardware, Active Directory, Exchange, ISA (TMG), Citrix and Platespin Protect.

Administered and implemented Windows Server, AD, Exchange and Citrix environments.Tecala was a great place to work and through working there I gained valuable on-site customer support and implementation experience. I am thankful for the opportunities, experience and guidance I received from the business during my time working there.
