1 of 11 sector heads for SPIFFY. With a total portfolio valuation of approximately $4 million, I lead my team of 4 sector analysts in managing $550,000 (21.49% of equities excluding ETFs). At weekly meetings where students, a portfolio manager, professors, and occasionally members of the UMaine Foundation come, I present sector news which includes comparisons of the performance concerning our tech. holdings to benchmarks and explain relevant information to our sector and its stocks (earnings, news, press releases). Also, conducting research on new potential investments.

Helping to manage $4.3 million in real tradable capital. As a sector analyst within the club, I mainly focus on growth stocks in the small to mid-cap range and analyze their income and balance sheets using ratios and released earnings reports. Comparing this with several other competitors in a given industry, myself and a team decide whether the stock is suitable to buy, sell or hold. We also audit stocks within our portfolio and reallocate accordingly. I help facilitate the movement of $50k-$100k in cash to securities at a single time.

Conducting member development presentations that include fire safety, social etiquette and conducting career building workshops such as LinkedIn, resume building, networking. I personally started holding weekly stock presentations that would go through the basics of the stock market so others could starting learning if they hadn't already.
