-Provide patient-specific counseling on prescription & over-the-counter medications.-Initiate Medication Therapy Management (MTM) sessions which include prospective and retrospective Drug Utilization Review (DUR).-Manage pharmacy workflow including delegation of various job tasks among pharmacy staff.-Administer vaccinations and prepare compounded medications.Verifying medication orders, performing sterile IV prep including adult and neonatal TPNs, pediatric preps, chemo, education of health professionals about various medications as well as interacting with doctors about appropriateness of patients current medications, appropriate antibiotic use pre and post surgical (SCIP guidelines), counseling of patients on medication purpose/side effects, monitoring renally dosed medications, filling outpatient prescriptions, performing medication reconciliations on patients to have the most up to date list of home medications.
